Become a Child Sponsor

Each day, scores of children watch from afar as their friends, who are lucky enough to attend one of our early childhood development projects, play games, sing and share meals. Unfortunately, high rates of unemployment mean our modest fees are beyond the reach of most parents in Alexandra and Mpumalanga.

Sponsoring a child to attend one of our day care projects is a very easy and rewarding way to help to help change a child’s life…forever.

What your monthly donation can do:

200 R per month for a month’s fees for one child at Hlaysianani crèche, Alexandra
120 R per month for a month’s fees for one child to attend our static or mobile playbus schemes in rural Mpumalanga
75 R per month for one child to attend our educational play scheme at the Leratong hospital, Johannesburg
50 R per month for a learner to attend the after-school care programme at Hlaysianani crèche, Alexandra

Practical Giving

There are many things we need to improve and extend our existing projects. We would be very grateful for any second-hand donations in good condition and are happy to collect from the greater Johannesburg area .

We organise regular fundraising events and would be particularly grateful for any donations which could be used as raffle prizes.

For many of our children and their parents visits out of Alexandra or their townships in Mpumalanga are a rare treat. Day trips to the zoo, movies, picnics and games in the park are highlights of the year. We would be grateful for any sponsored day trips – or even short holidays – to show our children that their childhoods should be fun.
